Rita,
I just found your site through another knitter. I was reading the tutorial #6 and was most interested in the joining in the yarn part. I am making an afghan with a different colored object in each square. I know you are supposed to twist the new color with the one you have been using but I don’t like the way it looks. Maybe I am pulling the yarn to tight (so there won’t be a hole) and that is why it looks pulled. Any suggestions?

Hi Wanda and huge apologies for not answering earlier. Because I’m presently on holiday, I’m a bit slack on the blogging front!
I’m not sure what you need to do concerning the afghan but I would agree with what you said regarding pulling the yarn to tight. In my experience, when I pull the yarn to tight when I join two pieces together, I can see the different colours getting mixed together and this doesn’t give a nice result. When you join two pieces together, you need to keep the yarn a bit loose.
I will put your question on my Facebook page too and see if I can get an answer for your question.
Thank you for stopping by my blog!
