There are lots of things that have been going on in my life lately, stressful situations I don’t feel ready to talk about on the blog. But, today, I thought I’ll give myself a reminder that there are actually heaps of other things that are making me happy at the moment.
So, here’s a list in a non-specific order. I’m thankful for:
1- My writing. For having inspiration and ideas. I decided to do NaNoWriMo again this year. I know it won’t be easy but this is a challenge I feel I need to try again. I know the story I’ve got in my head is not clear at the moment but I feel an urge to try to write it and give life to the characters. I’m thankful for having time to write. This is something I always wanted to do. Even though I’m struggling to find work, I’m thankful I have the time to live my passion.
2- My blog. It’s finally starting to look like I want. There are still few little things I feel I need to fix (background, header) but, mainly, I’m quite happy with the way it’s working at the moment. I also did some maintenance and fixed many issues. After the problems I had to move it to self-hosted, I’m glad this move is now done and that I took the plunge towards that direction.
3- My readers. Each and every comment and view on this little corner of the internet make my heart bounce with joy and excitement. Thank you for reading!
4- For my Etsy Shop. It’s like a little dream come true. I have added a few items in the shop but, I know I need to add some more. Slowly, slowly I’ll get there.
5- For the friend of my husband who fixed my computer. My computer kept crashing for a while and, earlier this week, it wouldn’t turn on anymore. But, a friend of ours fixed it and now it’s working like a new one!
6- For my book clubs. For the amazing ladies I have met this year, for the books I read and for the discussions and the fun we have when we meet.
8- For my hubby. I don’t talk a lot about him over here because he likes to keep his mystery (hubby doesn’t even have a Facebook account!) I guess I can write a whole post about him but, for the moment, I’m just going to say I’m thankful for his love and support.
9- For my parents who are coming Down Under to celebrate Christmas and New Year with us. I can’t find any word to explain how excited I am about spending time with them soon.
10- For my beautiful garden. For the fact the colorful flowers always put a smile on my face when I arrive home.
Wow, this is seriously therapeutic! I actually can continue but I’ll leave it here for the moment.
Happy Thursday and don’t forget to enjoy the small things!
Thanks Francesca for hosting Thankful Thursday!
What are you thankful for?
