Free

by Rita Azar on February 18, 2013

This poem came to my mind last Saturday, verses by verses, while I was cleaning the house.

Free

I am a rebel who follows her own rules

A bohemian free from guilt

I don’t justify myself to anyone

I live my life to the fullest.

I feed from your hatred

Your negativity makes me stronger

Your hostility nurtures my inspiration

Your judgement pushes me to go forward.

Your words, full of emptiness, don’t affect me

They are loaded with contempt

I take them, I embrace them, I use them

To nourish my creativity.

Happiness comes from within

And with my words I have found my bliss

Each word I write is precious

I don’t waste any of them on your ignorance.

I have nothing

But, I have Faith

I have Hope

I have everything.

Do you find inspiration to write while you’re doing your daily activities?

That is a really lovely poem Rita! It makes me wonder who it is that you are referring to. I cannot imagine anyone being nasty or negative to you. You are so lovely. And … Yes – I find inspiration to write while going about my daily activities! Min xo

Thank you Min!
Thank God, I’m mostly surrounded with very supportive people but, sometimes, you always can get some nasty comments…

So you are a free spirit. Amazing. The poem is inspirational Rita but I hope no one is treating you with contempt. x

I think I try to be a free spirit. I would love to say that I’m able to live up to the standards of this poem every day and not worry about want people say but I have my ups and downs like everyone else…

Wonderful strength of spirit you have Rita. Some of us can only manage this some of the time, well done :)

You’ve been through many lows yourself in your life Becc and have emerged more stronger. I think this is quite inspirational.

Beautiful Rita, and good on you for having this attitude.
Sometimes I feel like this, but other times it really gets me down

Wonderful poem Rita. Hope you are just battling with the cleaning products and not real people. I hate cleaning so I can understand why you would be angry or upset ha ha. I am going to blog about the 10 “L” words tomorrow. Will let you know when it’s published.

Hahaha! Hilarious Lisa! I hate cleaning too! I’m looking forward to read about your 10 L’s!

Beautiful poem Rita. Your are talented :-)

I half drafted my 10 words the other day, but decided against posting it. It was a bit more personal than I decided I wanted to be on the blog. Maybe later if I’m braver :-)

Take your time Francesca. I totally understand what you mean. I hope one day I will have the opportunity to read your post.

Lovely, Rita. I get inspiration in the shower mostly, and laying down with the girls, getting them to sleep. xx

Reply

Rita Azar February 24, 2013 at 11:33 pm

Yes, the shower is a good one! And, me too I get inspiration in bed. And, most of the time, I don’t have a pen and paper to write my ideas… In the morning, I forget them…
