Last Thursday, we went to see Ovo. It was a gift from me to hubby for his birthday.
I was very excited. It was my first show from Cirque du Soleil (Circus of the Sun).
Did you know the founders of this circus are French Canadians?
The show is “An immersion into the teeming and energetic world of insects.” We were not allowed to take pictures when the show started. But, you can see a video here.
It was beyond my expectations! Simply amazing! I had a huge smile on my face from the first moments to the last ones.
The performances were precise, phenomenal, surreal. I simply couldn’t believe my eyes!
The images and artistry, just beautiful.
This is a picture of the ladybug, one of the main character of the show.
Just in case you were wondering, this is not a sponsored post for Cirque du Soleil. I bought my own tickets and I did not receive any monetary compensation to write this post. It’s just a fantastic show I saw and I wanted to share with you. But, just in case someone from Cirque du Soleil see this post and likes it, I’m open for future collaboration!
Have you ever seen a show from Cirque du Soleil?

Looks like a great night. I have never been to one of their shows before but they look amazing!
Go if you have the opportunity Rhian, They are amazing!
I’ve always wanted to see a cirque du Soleil show! What city are they playing in at the moment?
I went to see them in Melbourne, Docklands but they have shows everywhere in the world. You can have a look here:

Thank you!
You look very happy. You have a big smile. The Cirque du Soleil is a big event and a beautiful show. Lucky girl!
My smile stayed for all the duration of the show!
I want to go one day… I might start saving.
I hope you will have the opportunity to go.
I’m very jealous, I can’t wait to go to a cirque show one day – you look lovely BTW – very stylist!
It was a great experience and I wish you will go one day Emily!
I am so jealous. I have been to one of their shows and would love to go again
Which one?
I am so very jealous! I would love to go to a show but my hubby doesn’t ‘get’ it, so it’s probable I will never go!
I bought the ticket for my husband for his birthday. Other way I don’t think we would have gone. He loved it. Probably your hubby would too. The performances are extraordinary!
How wonderful!
I saw one of their shows in Brisbane years and years ago.
It blew my mind!
What a great birthday present for you.
I mean *from* you!!
Thanks Thea! Which show did you see?
Oh, I’ve never been. Want to though!
It’s a great show both for adults and kids.
Oh, I’d love to see it! Looks like you had a fantastic night. Love that black dress you’re wearing too!
x
I really had a great night Grace!
I love cirque du soleil – haven’t been for a few years, I think poppet was about 4 but it was awesome. I’d like to go to quebec some day to ski, my brother in law is Canadian and tells me all about it, especially the warm (as in festive) Christmases.
Oh! Quebec is great! You would love it. In Christmas it’s lovely. A bit cold but there’s nothing like a white Christmas!
Wow! It seems it was a good night! The show must has been as you described it! I’m glad you had a good night!
Thanks Claudia!
Wonder what’s going to happen with Cirque’s recent massive layoffs. At a national law firm, I was in the Montreal office for meeting. The firm hired 2 of their gymnast performers who did incredible artistic manoeuvres as part of our firm’s bbq entertainment. Just incredible.
I heard about the layoffs. It’s such a bad news for such an amazing organisation…
What a great entertainment for a corporative event!
Aha, have only seen them once and would LOVE to again!
