The lovely Rhian over at The Only Way is Melbourne nominated me for the Super Sweet Blog Award. Thank you so much! Rhian is a British mum who moved with her family to Australia. She is funny, witty and I absolutely love reading all about her adventures Down Under with her husband and her son (the Bear).
The Super Sweet Blog Award’s rules are:
- Thank the blogger who gave you the award and link back to her/his blog;
- Nominate another blog or blogs for this award and let them know;
- Post the award on your blog;
- Answer 5 questions.
The questions are:
1- Cookies or Cake?
- Chocolate chip cookies with coffee in the afternoon!
2- Chocolate or Vanilla?
- Dark chocolate and the darker, the better.
3- Favourite sweet treat?
- I prefer something salty over something sweet. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. But, I do love baklavas (a Lebanese sweet made with filo pastry filled with chopped nuts or pistachios and sweetened with syrup.)
4- When do you crave sweet things the most?
- When I have a big decision to make, I need dark chocolate… I like to believe it helps the decision process!
5- If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be?
- I don’t really know about a sweet nickname but I can tell you my friends call me Ritz!
And now, I would like to nominate Emily from Have a Laugh on Me for the Super Sweet Blog Award.
I discovered Emily’s blog through Grace and her Facebook Lovin Sunday late last year and, since then, I just love reading her blog where she talks about different subjects regarding her family and her life with honesty and humour.
Now, I’d like to do something a bit different for next week I Blog On Tuesday’s post. I saw this idea over at Perth Wife where she invited her readers to ask her questions she answered a few days later on her blog. I loved that idea because many times, when I read other blogs, I have questions going through my mind and not necessarily related to any post I would like to ask the blogger. So, I would like to ask you, my readers, what would you like to know about me? It can be anything you want to ask me, no restrictions. Be creative and imaginative! And, in next Tuesday’s post I will answer 10 of these questions. You can leave your question in the comment section or send me an email if you want to stay anonymous.
I’m looking forward to read your questions and even more to answer them.
Thank you again Rhian for the award!

Mmm, dark chocolate!
Congratulations on another very well deserved award, and I love Emily’s blog too. Xx
Thanks Kelly!
Hi Rita, here’s my suggested question.
What is your favorite experience so far in Australia?
What can Australians learn from Canadans?
Mxx
Hey – great answers to the Qs. Thanks so much for your lovely mention! I have a question for you – how on earth did you manage to get the SSBA badge on your post? I have tried repeatedly and failed miserably!!!
x
Rhian, I won’t put you in suspense to next week to answer your question!
If you want to put the badge only in your post, just right click on the badge and copy. Then open your dashboard, got to edit post, and paste the image in your post. You don’t need to save the image in your library.
If you want to put the badge on your sidebar, here’s want you need to do:
- Copy and paste the badge on the desktop of your computer.
- Go to your dashboard, media (on the left), library, add new. Then, select file, choose and upload the badge from your desktop.
- If you click library, you should see your badge there. Click edit and right click on the File URL of the picture to copy.
- Go to appearance, widgets. Drag the widget “image” on the sidebar where you want to put the badge. Paste the File URL of the badge in the place where it is written Image URL in the widget. Click save. The badge should be on your sidebar.
It looks complicated but it is easy, just do it step by step. And please let me know if you have any questions. I’m more than happy to help.
Congratulations on your award.
I would like to ask – can you share some of the cultural experiences (that you have learnt or done) from your Lebanese parents
Thanks!
I love that you are so passionate about dark chocolate – hard to get decent stuff out here.
I’d like to know what is your favourite craft to do and also what craft do you find the most challenging?
I can’t tell you how much I love dark chocolate Annaleis!
Rita, firstly congrats on your award, much deserved – and a McMassive thank you sooo much for giving me one – I am very honoured!!! And I won’t have any problem answering lots of q’s about sweets, YUMMO
As for what I’d like to know about you – why is there such a rivalry between Canada and the US?
Thanks Emily! It was a pleasure for me to give you one! I love your blog and the way you write!
Congrats on the sweet award Rita. My question is have you written any more poems? Or alternatively do have a favourite poet or poem from someone else to share. I love poetry.
Congratulations on the award Rita! Considering you shared your first post with me yesterday, I’d like to know what you like the most about blogging and what has been your most rewarding experience as a blogger. I look forward to reading your answers next week!
Dark chocolate… is the only chocolate! And the white stuff…pfffft don’t start me ;D I also love baklava and really should get a paying job to support my salted pistachio habit. However, as this is the second time I’ve been here, I will try to think of a question… What is your most perplexing/horrifying/amusing (pick one) Aussie custom? Visiting from #teamIBOT
Congratulations!
What is the thing you miss most about home? What is the best part about the move to Australia?
Becc @ Take Charge Now
Congratulations on the award! It’s great to learn more about you. I’m afraid I don’t like dark chocolate. I only like milk chocolate. Love the sound of the baklavas your refer to – YUM!! Hmmm…my question for you – I think I’d like to know how on earth have you learnt English so quickly – not just to speak but to write in English – when French is your native language (I think?). xo
Congratulations
I want to know, what is a recipe that has been passed on to you from family that you really love? Looking forward to reading your answers.
Congrats Rita for your award. Very well deserved!!
My question is in what language your mind think before talking or writting? And explain me why!
Dark chocolate is good! Lots of antioxidants too which means…healthier option!
That’s what I say to myself when I eat it Grace: at least it’s healthy!
dark chocolate ftw! nom nom nom
Thanks to all of you who asked questions! Looking forward to answer you!
